Gender Policy
Femme d'Impact+ develops women's financial inclusion through structured capacity-building programs, support initiatives, and a holistic transformation that supports families. For us, education transforms life: it is the surest investment to overcome social and economic divides and to combat gender-based inequality.
Our commitment
Femme d'Impact+'s Gender Equality Policy commits us to empowering women and girls and to transforming gender and power relations across every initiative we lead. Our purpose: to uphold the rights of all women, all men, all girls, all boys, and all people of every ability, gender and identity โ both inside our organisation and in the communities we work with.
Our preconditions for action
- Regardless of gender, religion or ethnicity, every human being should be free to develop their capabilities and to access education and decent work, without being limited by stereotypes or any other form of discrimination.
- Fighting gender inequality is a prerequisite for preventing gender-based violence, sexual abuse and harassment.
- All forms of marginalisation and discrimination โ age, disability, ethnicity, race, religion โ exacerbate gender inequality.
- Community approaches, collaboration and long-term partnerships are essential for empowering women and girls, transforming gender relations and building gender-equitable systems.
How we act
- We rigorously apply the principle of the fight for gender equality, learning and building a shared understanding of power dynamics and violence prevention within our organisation, our programs and our partnerships.
- We implement programs integrating gender-transformative approaches into all our internal functions: human resources, finance, security, logistics and communications.
- We build opportunities and partnerships that actively challenge discriminatory gender norms, unequal power dynamics and the structures that reinforce gender inequality across every part of our work.
The ultimate commitment of Femme d'Impact+ is to lead actions, in collaboration with its partners and the community of its area of action, aimed at creating long-term impact by driving structural changes in behaviour, inequality, social norms and culture.
